How to prepare

  1. 1Prepare a short self-introduction covering your name, nationality, age, job or studies.
  2. 2Learn greetings and polite phrases: they show communicative competence from the first second.
  3. 3Practise with corrected examples of A1 speaking tasks to understand what a passing response sounds like, and simulate the exam with a timed mock run.
  4. 4If you do not understand a question, say 'Pouvez-vous répéter, s'il vous plaît?' rather than staying silent.
