DELF B1 listening practice (compréhension de l'oral) is the first section of the exam. You hear short recordings drawn from real French life, announcements, voicemails, interviews and conversations, and answer multiple-choice questions as you listen. The audio is played twice, the section lasts about 25 minutes, and it is worth 25 points, a quarter of your total score.

What the Listening section tests

DELF B1 listening tests your ability to understand spoken French in real situations: public announcements, voicemails, short interviews, radio extracts and conversations between native speakers. You answer multiple-choice questions while you listen, so reading the questions in advance matters.
