The 40-word message
Fifteen points, about twenty minutes, forty words minimum. Pick the right shape, predict the content, then fill every gap with a detail you invent.
By the end of this lesson
- Read a consigne and recognise the shape it wants: postcard, email, note or short letter.
- Predict the content of your message before you write the first sentence.
- Tell someone what you're doing and announce what you're going to do, in short sentences.
- Use the imperative to leave instructions for a person who isn't there.
- Invent the details the consigne leaves out, and borrow words from the document you're given.
