Winning the role-play

Part 2 hands you a card, no preparation time, and three or four minutes to solve a problem with the examiner. Here's how to run the scene.

By the end of this lesson

Read a role-play card in thirty seconds: the two roles, tu or vous, the register, the actions asked for.
Run the six beats of the scene, from the greeting to an agreement you close yourself.
Answer a refusal with a counter-proposal instead of giving up or repeating your demand.
Pick the right level of force, and keep out the phrases that sink your own claim.
Drill the three relationships that keep coming back, in the tu version and the vous version.
