How to prepare

1Plan a clear three-part structure: introduction presenting the issue, body developing two or three arguments, conclusion restating your position.
2Use a range of connectors and discourse markers to guide the reader: 'en effet', 'de plus', 'toutefois', 'ainsi'.
3Study corrected examples of high-scoring B2 essays and letters to understand the register, structure and word count that earn full marks, then practise with timed mock exams under the 60-minute limit.
4Leave at least five minutes to re-read for coherence, verb agreements and spelling.
