Notes, postcards and invitations
Exercise 1 hands you a short email from a friend. Here's how to name the document, find the event details, and tick the right picture.
By the end of this lesson
- Tell an email, a postcard, a note and a wedding announcement apart from their shape alone.
- Name what a personal message wants from you: an invitation, an errand, a piece of news.
- Pull five facts out of an invitation: who, what for, which day, what to bring, reply by when.
- Tick the right photo when an item offers you three pictures instead of three sentences.
- Put a two-errand note in the right order by reading the opening hours, not the lines.
