Signs, notices and menus
Exercise 2 takes you into the street. A closed door, a map with three routes drawn on it, a wall of listings, a menu. Here's how to read each one.
By the end of this lesson
- Pull the three facts a closure notice always carries: the reason, the temporary address, the day normal service returns.
- Tell a réservation, an invitation and an inscription apart, and name what each one asks you to do.
- Read written directions on a street map and tick the one route among three that follows them.
- Filter several listings on two conditions at once, instead of stopping at the first block you like.
- Choose the right formule on a menu, and read a day range like du mardi au samedi without losing a day.
